Wow. I did not make the connection with NaS' "You're Da Man." Straight Zone out music on a rainy day. I think it's the musical influences that make me feel older than I am. As well as my genius I.Q. Seriously, find this entire album and light some incense, clean your room, and enjoy.
I need answers. Cloverfield 2? Anyone?
If so, this would be EPIC.
EDIT: Most likely fake. Fan-made. Still, it would be awesome if it were real. I'm gonna go cry now.
Shame that this was the best part of the award show.
Turn back and be salt
Still
Over
Move forward and face it all
Thrill
Torture
Which road to take? which side of the fence to fly over? will i end up chasing stars, or be bitter in the morning, sober?
Running laps is just that, you're still going nowhere, but at least you know what lies ahead
the same redundancy, the fact that you're comfortable in the miles you tread
but concurrently, you can't help thinking about the path you left...
Maybe things are like the laps, in that they come back around to you
or you to it
the foolishness, of having such thoughts
I'd rather move forward blindly than stand still looking back.

Jay-Z - D.O.A (Death Of Auto-Tune) Prod. by No-ID & Kanye West
I had to post this up. I feel like this song is the beginning of the end. Really listen, don't just skim through it. The Blueprint 3 coming 9/11 (maybe).
"I don't be in the project hallway talking about how I be in the projects all day/That sounds stupid to me..."

Wow, my theory is that everyone except Em and D12 were in on it. simple as that. They both stir up controversy, so why wouldn't MTV mash them together in an unlikely fashion?
On the flip side, why would Eminem just stare at Bruno as he was being lowered right onto his lap? everyone saw him coming, so maybe Em did agree to it and just acted his ass off for a few seconds. So many theories. Water coolers all over America will be bubbling tomorrow(You see what i did there?).
*EDIT* everyone knew.
It's been a minute since had any original postings. That will change very soon. I've been caught up with handling (monetary) business and it's been consuming most of my time, among other things. I don't want this blog to become a collection of "Throwback Thursdays," so readers will actually see more poems, songs, and thoughts coming from me. I would really really like to reconstruct my blog so it pertains more toward my musical...endeavors. So, having said that, grind mode is in full effect.
You're Welcome.
You're Welcome.
Ghostwriter. Don't act like you don't know. This show inspired thousands of kids to be creative.
Baby Plucky ftw. I think he's a G. "A baby G like watch..."
"Tell Me About It Vol. I" coming soon.
Off of Moonbass Mixfilm EP. Cool visuals to go with a great track. Flow is on point.
I know it looks childish, but so does your mother.

It was buried under a flask and uh
Caught peekin' from the bottom of a glass
All this nonsense, incense, common sense, consequence
Indulgence in bourbon, this 'urb, between city kids
It's disturbed
Up and around to see the same shit from her
She gets so silent, watchin' life just pass by in a blur
Ain't it funny?
We can sneak into our lives undisturbed?
Over the perfect things to say
And then just choke on the words?
Everybody wanna be the next
Everybody wanna be in step
Everybody wanna fuck
Everybody want the consequence of playin' the fence
Everybody's got shit luck
Everybody wanna move to they own beat
Everybody wanna make a dent
Every girl is lookin' for the next best thing
Every boy's in love with his girl's best friend
Everybody hates me
Everybody wanna fight
We can't stand to wake up in the sun
But can't sleep in the moonlight
I'm right there wit ya
I'm sicker than my own skin
I got the clothes and the jaded grin
I'm at the bar or the coffee shop
But I don't like drinkin'
And I fuckin' hate coffee shops
I'm off the stop and roll
It's best spin like a twist-a-whirl
This ain't amusment, I'm a loser
It was bullshit, It was bullshit, uh
Got two cents
But everybody seems to have the same chain but can't break my five-oh
Two cents, (yeah right) but can't spend nothing if I'm holdin' the cup it's like
If you come down and just breathe, and just breathe in and out
You'll feel a whole lot better, close your eyes
Need to be if you can't see them, then they can't see you
Right, close your eyes
I can never be what I wanna be
Nothin' but a man
Nothin's even inside of me
Nothin I can understand
If I try, and so I try
To get a grip, a hold, a handle, a hand
I can never be what I wanna be
Nothin' but a man
Nothin's even inside of me
Nothin I can understand
If I try, and so I try
To get a grip, a hold, a handle, a hand
On This,
And It's strained to think
It might break
Scratch, Crack, Silence,
This,
And It's strained to think
It might break
Scratch, Crack,
Ah!
Livein the city, like any other
We all live alone
The only difference is we don't seem to know it
Frozen and lonesome,
When it's cold
In the summer gotta wait for the loathing
Holding, our posture so low
And we drink so there's not much worth noting
Strolling, so vagrant, so shaken, so grown, so god so mistaken
So broke, so, so complacent, so worn out, so worn out, so worn out
So full of doubt, so full of restrain
So full of that self-control, or the lack thereof
That we thought was soul
If you come down and just breathe, and just breathe in and out
You'll feel a whole lot better, close your eyes
Need to see if you can't see them, then they can't see you
Right, close your eyes

This is a very well done discussion about the word "Hipster." good? bad? thoughts? never thought about the angle of using the word to define the genre until it starts to fade, due to the human condition that gets bored really fucking quick. Charles Hamilton gets infinite points for this one. Being from the city, this word gets thrown around all the time.
"Hipster" = "Nigger/a?"
It's so easy for me to become king
But I'm just too lazy to kill my father
And If I plateau out, It's simple to become a martyr
This is the complacency speaking for itself because
that's the only way It can describe it's owner...
Giving up is not an option, but continuing is an opinion
an opinion we won't take, me and my complacency
sometimes it assumes the lead and takes me three steps behind
where I would safely be...
I could have used a silver bullet to shoot my way past the Bermuda triangle to find the fountain of youth...
But I chose not to; the journey seemed too expensive
So I bought a spaceship instead
Just to collect dust in my closet next to my lab coat and police badge
These are things I still have time to be
But why? There are millions more qualified than I
and besides
Starbucks gives medical and dental
Duane Reade is a Union now!
After 20 years in retail I can have free weekends...
by then I should love who I became,
Right?

Ok, I just got through watching the movie of the year. "Taken," is about an ex-special ops guy who's daughter gets kidnapped on a trip to Paris. He goes through hell just to get her back. It's a pretty intense movie from start to finish; there's pretty much no lag. I'd say the protagonist is a cross between Jason Bourne and Jack Bauer(just realized they have the same initials). I recommend everyone to go out and see this thing in theaters. It'll be worth it. The song below is from the end credits. I feel like it really captures the whole movie.
The Dragster-Wave - Ghinzu
I'm crazy tired, but I haven't blogged in a while. So I'll just leave this with you.
